Spirit moves us…

I’m so pleased to report that the Living Water Christian Church prayer shawl ministry has really taken off. So much so that we are looking for new places to share and expand our reach. We have given out many shawls and heard how they have comforted people. God is so good! We would like to start including baby items as well. Please comment to let me know of any organizations that you would like to share that could benefit from donated handmade with live baby hats, blankets etc.

If you are interested in starting your own prayer shawl ministry, this book is a must have. It truly made me feel like God lead it to me and I was moving in the right direction.

Eco Friendly Show coming

I’m working on some recycled projects for an upcoming eco-friendly craft show. What do you think of this flowerpin made out of old T-shirt? More to come soon. I’m also working on a bag crocheted from T-shirt yarn!

Here is also a quick pic of my latest prayer shawl made using my new Bavarian crochet technique. Just love it!

February Prayer Shawl Meeting

What a wonderful group of women we have working together. Today we blessed ten shawls ee have created and we were all working on more. I feel so blessed to be involved in this group. I can feel God moving in this ministry and using it to show others His love for them through the work of our hands.

This photo is the shawls we blessed today.

Thanks you to everyone who helped us get going. Your work is appreciated and going to someone who will treasure it. Let me leave with with a few words…

Colossians 2:2-3 “I wanted them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself. In him lie hidden all treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”

Its what I’ve been praying for the future owner of my shawls…and for myself. In the act of giving and receiving of the shawl, both parties are “knit together by the ties of love.” And isn’t that what Jesus wants for us? Isn’t that the treasure of knowledge hidden in our stitches?
